Raw Cacao Goddess began long before there was a product.
It began with journeys.
From the lush landscapes of Northern Thailand, where tropical fruits and plants grow in extraordinary abundance, to Colombia and the landscapes of the Amazon and Andes, I became increasingly fascinated by the relationship between people, plants and wellbeing.
I have always been drawn to nature — and to the knowledge that existed long before wellness became an industry.
Across cultures and generations, plants, cacao, fruits, roots and fungi have formed part of everyday traditions and rituals. My travels deepened my curiosity about these ancestral relationships with the natural world and made me question something surprisingly simple:
What if we could bring some of that reverence for nature back into our modern lives?
Wellbeing
As a woman moving through midlife myself, I didn't want another clinical-looking wellness product reminding me of everything I was supposedly losing with age.
I wanted something beautiful.
Something that celebrated this chapter of a woman's life rather than apologised for it.
Something grounded in nature, informed by modern knowledge, but still carrying a little of the magic and ritual that humanity has always found in plants.
And above all, something I would genuinely look forward to every day.
Cacao became the heart of that idea.
Rich, complex and deeply comforting, cacao offered the perfect beginning for a daily ritual. Around it, I began exploring remarkable botanicals inspired by the regions that had captured my imagination — ingredients with their own histories, flavours and relationships with the landscapes from which they come.
Raw Cacao Goddess grew from that exploration.
Not as an attempt to recreate an ancient ceremony.
Not as another complicated wellness regime.
But as a modern ritual inspired by something much older: our relationship with nature.
Why the Goddess?
The woman you see on every Raw Cacao Goddess box represents far more than our logo.
She represents the woman who has lived.
Who has changed.
Who is still curious.
Who understands that becoming older does not mean becoming less visible, less adventurous or less herself.
Her flowers represent nature.
Her eye represents intuition.
And at her centre is the heart.
It carries the words that became the philosophy behind everything I wanted this brand to stand for:
MAY MY HEART BE BRAVE AND KIND.
Raw Cacao Goddess is therefore more than something I created.
It is part travel, part discovery, part love letter to nature — and part reminder to women to create a little space for themselves.
